In Middle Tennessee, we don’t have much in the way of cheerful, seasonal weather. In fact, Christmas in Tennessee is a lot like fighting with that one bipolar relative for control of the AC. It might start out twenty degrees with freezing rain and black ice everywhere on Christmas Eve only to be seventy and sunny Christmas day. This year, Santa decided to give us a big “screw you” in the form of thunderstorms, tornadoes, and a wonderful upper respiratory infection that almost a third of people around here seem to be stuck with, myself included. So, for everyone suffering through the holidays, be they with family and friends or sitting at work watching the clock drag slowly through the night, merry Christmas to all. As a special treat, here are a couple of holiday favorites of mine I’ve written in the last bit.
