The internet has made it possible for a revolution to happen in writing with a new wave of pulp magazines covering every topic imaginable going online daily. Most of these markets, however, are small press and can’t afford to pay contributors much if anything at all. To add to this problem, the market is saturated in other writers and competitors all looking for a by-line and a little recognition for their work. In order to continue to afford doing the work I’m doing, I’ve had to start taking steps to bring in some revenue and one option is Patreon.
Patreon allows me to create original content and offer it to you for a small monthly subscription fee. Here’s a quick look at what you get:
The Minion of Danno
$1 a month, my gratitude, and access fiction, articles, and editorials.
All subscriptions also come with samples of my photography and other work as well as blurbs from the podcast all available before it hits @dotdblog or any other related media. While I want to keep doing this for the love of writing, the incidentals surrounding some of my travel and time are getting to be a bit too much. For as little as a dollar a month, you’d be making a huge difference in my career. Be sure to check out the Patreon account today and share the link (patreon.com/dotdblog) today.
